VISITING RELIGIOUS SITES
Respect and courtesy is expected when visiting temples and other religious sites. Shoes and socks must be removed before entering Buddhist temples (sandals or flip flops are a good alternative to laced shoes as they’re easier to slip on and off!) and shorts and dresses must cover the knees. Touching Buddha statues and posing in front of them are not allowed. Please respect possible ‘no photo’ signs.
